Welcome to The Pensions Board website

The Pensions Board is a statutory body set up under the Pensions Act, 1990.

The Board regulates:

  • occupational pension schemes
  • trust RACs
  • Personal Retirement Savings Accounts in Ireland.

This is done as part of our statutory role to monitor and supervise the operation of the Pensions Act. The Board also protects the interests of pension scheme members and encourages pension provision. The Board provides advice to the Minister for Social Protection on pension matters generally.
